NEW YORK, NY – Due to overwhelming demand, Jeff Lynne’s ELO will perform a second show at Radio City Music Hall on September 18th. Tickets for the newly added show, along with the previously announced performance on September 16th,will go on sale Friday, April 1st at 10am through Ticketmaster.
On November 13, 2015, Jeff Lynne’s ELO released Alone In The Universe on Columbia Records, the first album of all-new music released by the band in over a decade. The album received critical and fan praise alike, prompting NPR to hail the first single, “When I Was a Boy,” as “vintage ELO, with Lynne’s signature chord progressions, string flourishes and a wistful but infectious melody.” Of the album, Rolling Stone raved, “Lynne definitely picked the right moment to reactivate ELO, waiting until he had a top-notch album ready to go — the excellent new Alone In The Universe, their finest since 1981’s Time.”
As with ELO’s previous chart-topping albums, Jeff Lynne continues to serve as ELO’s producer, songwriter, arranger, lead singer and guitarist. In September 2014, for the first time in 30 years, Jeff Lynne’s ELO headlined BBC Radio 2’s “Festival In A Day” in London’s famous Hyde Park to a sold-out crowd of 50,000 fans in attendance, and nearly a million people tuned in to watch.
